Corydoras

Corydoras, commonly called Cory Catfish, are small, peaceful, bottom-dwelling freshwater fish admired for their armored bodies and playful behavior. Native to the rivers and streams of South America, they are social fish that thrive best in groups. Their preference for soft, sandy substrates helps protect their delicate barbels while they forage along the tank bottom.

With their hardy nature and charming personalities, corydoras make excellent additions to community aquariums, where they help keep the substrate clean and active.
