Angel
Angelfish are named for the elegant, wing-like shape of their fins, a feature that makes them one of the most admired aquarium species. Their striking beauty has earned them the title “King of the Aquarium” among hobbyists worldwide.
Scientifically known as Pterophyllum scalare, freshwater angelfish originate from the Amazon River in Brazil. While they can sometimes display mild aggression, they are generally suitable for community aquariums with peaceful species. Due to their tall body shape, angelfish thrive best in aquariums with extra vertical space.
